Kansas City’s market leader for delivering Microsoft solutions is seeking a proven sales professional with a successful background selling software, solutions and projects to C-Suite and IT Directors.

Position Description

Our leadership team has more than 20 years experience delivering IT solutions.  Company revenues have been growing consistently for the past 4 years and top line revenues have doubled over the past 2 years.  This position is open because we are expanding our sales team.

The SharePoint collaboration and content management platform is the fastest growing enterprise offering in Microsoft’s history.  It offers a feature rich, integrated suite of server capabilities that provides comprehensive content management, enterprise search and collaboration and facilitates information sharing for business insight and intelligence.  These benefits mean you can show your client immediate value and dramatic ROI, which streamlines the sales cycle. 

Your Opportunity
The winning candidate will be responsible for new business development from a blend of new and existing accounts.  The territory quota is 1.2 million per year and includes software, professional services and project delivery.  Your comp plan is uncapped and the on-target 1st year earnings are in six-figure range.  Base comp is negotiable contingent on relevant contacts and experience. 

A proven training system will provide all the tools needed for your technical demonstration and implementations and you will become an expert at selling Microsoft SharePoint and BPIO solutions, which represent a $6 billion opportunity.  You will be selling collaboration, ECM, CRM and enterprise project solutions that offer a “real time” ROI with a value proposition that is easy to prove.

Your sales efforts will be enhanced by Microsoft’s marketing campaigns that have a track record of producing qualified leads. To augment your own lead generation efforts, you will be supported by a dedicated inside sales rep.

Combine all of this with a long list of reference accounts and you have the right recipe for sales success and a “Top 10%” W-2 for the right candidate.

Qualified candidates will possess the following essential requirements:

  • At least 5 (+) of successful experience selling software, projects and/or software services.
  • Stable job history is preferred, along with a verifiable history of exceeding quota goals.
  • Ability to orchestrate a team selling process that includes technical resources.
  • Conduct business problem analysis and high level requirements gathering.
  • Ability to translate business problems into valid business opportunities.
  • Deliver accurate proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs) and pricing.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Strategic sales orientation, documented sales methodology and a boardroom presence.
  • A thorough understanding of the Microsoft enterprise solution set, plus knowledge of competitive and/or similar ECM or collaboration products is preferred but not required.
  • Winning, attitude, evidenced by a high energy level, enthusiasm and passion for success.
